Do not fear. The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will renew you in his love. Zephaniah 3:16–17
Prayer of the Day
Loving God,
John foresaw repentance
and justice to signal your coming.
Shape our lives,
sift our thoughts,
weigh our actions,
and make us ready for that great day.
For you are alive and reign with the Father
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
