Sentence of the Day
As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts, says the Lord. Isaiah 55:9
Prayer for the Day
Holy God,
merciful and patient over all creation,
who confronts our casual and fruitless ways,
fire our hearts with compassion,
quicken our minds against deceit and shallowness,
and strengthen our wills to resist evil
and follow Christ.
Through Jesus Christ our Liberator,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
